Usually this involves one web company transferring credit card information to another web company where the terms are somewhat hidden or even completely hidden.

This kind of greedy, unethical marketing is based on the hopes that the consumer will not realize that they're going to be billed or will ignore it for some time.
The moral of the story is if you are doing this kind of marketing are planning to do this kind of marketing you better change directions now.
If you are doing trial marketing or credit card information is passed from one company to another make sure that your tour terms are clear from the beginning and that e-mails are sent before billing. For example, these e-mails that warned that billing is about to occur could occur a week before and two days before actual building would occur.
